Playing catch up…

3 Sep

Hi all! I’m sorry to be playing ‘Catch Ups’ this week but we’ve had TWO fabulous issues of Ciao come out since I blogged last. Unfortunately we’ve been busy bees in the Ciao office dealing with petty complaints from people that should have better things to do with their time than complain. But anyway, we’re shaking ourselves off and looking to next issue; to a brighter future with less stress from here on out (we hope – though sometimes we just can’t help ourselves) by ignoring people we can only refer to as ‘X’.

194 was our fabulous Footprints Ecofestival issue, where we featured the wonderfully sustainable work of local Anna Cahill. Anna has created a dress made entirely from plastic bags she recycled as well as a bodice made out of paper mached roadmaps! When it came down to it, we did know which item to put on the cover – though they were both creative and inspiring pieces – and in the end this is what we went with….

The cover we ran with…

The cover that could’ve been…

Ciao featured the 2 pieces at a fashion parade and the festival. The day went off without a hitch!

Lastest issue – 195 was all about Burwood Festival and getting to know your local candidates! The council election is looming and everyone has a cause. Check out the latest issue to find out what your local MP will be focusing on (should you vote them in!). We were lucky enough to feature Georgia McCarthy on our cover in anticiaption of Burwood Festival. The Young Talent Time Runner Up will be performing on the day along with local cheerleaders and Timomatic! It’s going to be a fun day out so grab the fam and head to Burwood Park on September 16th. If you want to know more you’ll just have to visit our website or find an issue – http://www.ciaomagazine.com.au. If you can’t find a copy, please let us know where you live and where you want us to deliver by emailing info@ciaomagazine.com.au.
